Musically, this primer is designed for beginners. The songs are written using AlphaNotes. In addition, each sharp and flat is written in. An important rule for beginners: if a note has a flat or sharp, it is marked only the first time it appears in a measure, but it continues to be flat or sharp for the rest of the measure.
Tamara had the idea to collaborate with her mama, Mary Ashworth, to create music for the Character Education Heroes Series. Tamara and Mary share a love for music. They believe that lyrics set to music can help children to easily remember phrases and concepts.
The Character Education Heroes Series teaches children about different communication styles. Each communication style is represented by one of six communication animals: Demanding Lion, Convincing Fox, Negotiating Zebra, Teamworking Swan, Supporting Elephant, and Avoiding Turtle. The goal of the Character Education Heroes Series is for children to be able to master the positive traits of each communication style and incorporate them into their own natural styles. The more children identify, understand, and use each of the six communication styles, the more effectively they can deal with all types of problems and people.
Understanding the six different methods of communication can transform children into Character Education Heroes!
